Rural Energy For America Program

The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) is offered through USDA Rural Development. The grants are awarded on a competitive basis and can be up to 25% of total eligible project costs. Grants of up to $500,000 for renewable energy systems and $250,000 for energy efficiency improvements are available; however, at least 20% of the grant funds awarded must be for grants of $20,000 or less.

For more information on Rural Energy for America Program grants, visit the program website or contact the Alaska office of USDA Rural Development at (907) 761-7705.
